file from it website, make it executable and run it. It will install a

ccsm then this bug doesn't manifest. But opening, closing, maximize and

It seems that these problematic packages are "backported" Precise.
Today I get a bunch of updates for the -dev files which cannot be
updated because of conflicts with the -extras packages. This is not a
big deal for my current install but if I do a new install of Precise
this bug would affect 12.0
Does it make a difference if you activate the tray icon?

Dimitry's steps but cannot reproduce the bug. Ubuntu 12.04 and
LibreOffice 3.6 from ppa. I think it is fixed in 12.10, though I have no
idea whether the fix affects the global menu because I have uninstalled
it.

Actually it doesn't work in Firefox either. I will file a separate bug
against it. On Firefox gecko-mediaplayer does start to load but then
will get stuck at 19% whereas the totem plugin works fine on these
stream.
Downgrade to 1.04 (the Precise version) it still doesn't work but the
behaviour is

Ok, reinstalled 12.04 and upgraded the Nvidia driver with xorg-edgers,
vdpau is working again. But compiz is consumming a lot of cpu cycle even
when idle. The high cpu usage is not observed in 12.10 so it appears to
be a Compiz bug which is fixed in 12.10 but have not been backported to
12.04 yet.
vdpau works again in 12.10 final release with the xorg-edgers ppa. But
it still doesn't work in 12.04, I will reinstall 12.04 in a week to see
if it makes a difference.

Excuse me? It says "fix released", but where is the fix? I am using
12.04 with Unity, everything is up to date. When I try to take a
screenshot with PrtSc I hear a shutter sound and see a flash, but no
dialogue box and no screenshot is saved in ~/Pictures. Do I need to
tweak some settings?

Same problem using Unity. I press PrtSc, see a flash and hear a shutter
sound but no screenshot is saved in ~/Pictures. However if I take the
screenshot with the terminal or using the gnome-screenhot GUI then a
dialogue box does appear and I can choose the location to save the
screenshot.

would need to manually quit quickstarter, also have to configure with
