Managed to recover by resetting the blade. manually mounting /dev/md0
before running the cryptunlock (stacktrace still triggered after
unmount) from dropbear shell and removing the wily kernel entries from
grub.cfg and reverting back to vivid's kernel.
Appears to be an interaction between 4.1.0-3
Attempting to mount /dev/md0 (the unencrypted /boot ) from within
dropbear/busybox results in a kernel hardlock. ILO dump attached.

Unfortunately whilst I get the screen up on boot, the first time the
screen is blanked either by power management, or switching a VT or
standby(closing lid) - I "loose" the screen and need to do a reboot to
get it back. Not very useful unfortunately.

Experiencing similar behaviour from zenbook ux302lg. Pinning and
upgrading to trusty kernel gives me slightly different outcomes (I get a
backlight down and red streak appear) before backlights up and blank
screen where I hear the Cowbell of lightdm.

I think a packaging bug/request for the firmware should be separate.
The kernel option to enable the kernel specific parts and driver is
simply a .config oversight on the Ubuntu Kernel maintainers behalf. This

Running stable under test conditions reported above with 256.52. vdpau
now does not lock up computer, have not had locks ups during normal
compiz enabled ubuntu-desktop settings. Switching VT's also is ok.
I have not however tested with DPMS turned back on as of yet. And have
not tested with Twinv

Please note that the installer log info in the nvidia bug report shows
the old installer log where attempted manual install of .35 beta driver.
This was removed and the dump relates to the repo supplied nvidia-
current (256.44) drivers, it is valid just a little misleading at the
top.

I get frequent system hangs and kernel oops's when using the 256.44
drivers and current meerkat xorg. tried adding xorg-swat ppa, but
nothing from that repo anyways except for more recent nvidia-settings

Maverick kernel build options for the dvb-v4l subsystem need to be
