I am having the problem as well. I have two NFS mounts. The first on works
perfectly. The second one I added never mounts, unless I mount it manually at
the command line. When I mount it from the command line, I get no errors.

Ok. It still does not work without the modifications to grub. The
system does not resume from sleep, has a black screen, and upon a full
reboot, networking is disabled. Adding the lines back to grub allows
all to work fine.

This problem does indeed still exist in a running and update version of
Kubuntu, Lucid.
My workaround is to add two items to grub. They are -
radeon.modeset=0 noapic
Doing this, I can suspend and resume fine, but plymouth looks bad.
I will test the upstream kernel,
I managed to work around this by adding the following lines to grub.
radeon.modeset=0 noapic
After doing this, suspend to ram has worked 100%.

Although I have not got around to adding this on launchpad, I got my
machine working perfectly by adding two items to grub during boot.
radeon.modeset=0 noapic
So far, 10.04 Alpha is working great.

Same issue here. I suspend my machine regularly. Upon resume, my NFS
shares take a long time to respond. Samba shares, and other network
appear immediately, so it's not a network issue.

The fix I posted in #34 above, did not work consistently. I have
installed the ati and radeon drive from Jaunty. I can now suspend
perfectly. So this bug really applied to a version of the ATI driver
that is above the one released in Jaunty.

To solve this bug, and the one listed above, I did the following:
Changed the memory settings in my BIOS to be "Sideport" only, thus removing the
shared memory usage for the on board ATI 200m video card. Doing so solved this
bug.

I may have solved this issue.
I just installed two different kernels, the vanilla "generic" and "server".
All exhibit the same behavior as I fist listed above.
On a hunch, I went into my bios and set the Video Graphic Mode to "SidePort"

I can confirm this still exists.
This bug is still present for me while using the live CD x86-64, beta version.
My applied changes to grub listed above still work, but w/o splash. Point is,
this bug appears to be still valid.

This hang occurs each time the machine is resumed from suspend.
The machine turns on, but the screen and wifi light remain dark. performing
ctrl-alt-f* buttons do nothing.
It can be repeated, and occurs each time.
One important note, this did not occur two revisions of the Kernel ago.
