Hello all, Please see bug # 326988. To solve this bug, and the one listed above, I did the following:
Changed the memory settings in my BIOS to be "Sideport" only, thus removing the shared memory usage for the on board ATI 200m video card. Doing so solved this bug. I can now suspend and resume without a problem. Before the stock Radeon driver supported the 3d effects, I had used the Proprietary ATI driver. As such, I had to enable the shared memory for it to work. Of course, being in the BIOS, the setting has remained set the same all this time. Interesting side note, that SuSE 11.1 on the same computer works just fine. Perhaps this was an issue that has been introduced with a later kernel, X, or radeon version? mckeeshop -- [Hewlett-Packard Pavilion dv8000 (EH744UA#ABA)] suspend/resume failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/341097 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
