I have found out that if I put the system on standby before I dock it, it works

This really is not a fix, just a workaround. I use Evolution all the
time and it is in my tray right now. The application to do this is
called alltray. It can be downloaded by doing 'sudo aptitude install
alltray' . Then if you go to applications>acessories>AllTray, it will
