X11 output makes the picture quality suck big time. it's not good enough.
This bug have been around forever now. Seems it have low priority.
It should be fixed cause bugs like this scare windows users from converting.
They want linux cause they've seen the fancy compiz/beryl effects
and they have h
You guys still struggling with this? My computer have been working like a
charm
since I put it to download unstabile updates from the server, not only the
safe ones.
I use beryol, 3d desktop and watch moviws without any problem at all.
everything working perfect.
I reported this bug almost the same
ust started working one day. I did

Guess I should just be happy then. Cause Totem started working for me. If it
was not the update, I must have fixed it myself. But sadly I have no idea
how. Anyway. I can see movies and use beryl at once. The quality is good as
well. But only Totem will play the video.

Video playback works fine in Totem now. And I did nothing to repair it.
So I guess that was fixed by one of the system updates?
Anyway. This problem still remain on all other video players.
Only Totem will show video.
And it will only show the video. Not subtitles

Chakkaradeep: Your solution works, but what a terrible sacrifice in picture

Compare normal settings without 3d effects enabled on a divx-xvid movie. And
you will see the quality loss.
So that workaround is for the ones who can not live without 3d effects until
the good folks at ubu

Enabled 3d desktop effects in 7.04. Everything seems to work just fine
except one thing.
When I try to play a video file in mplayer I just get a black screen. I can
hear sound, but no video.
If I double click some times the video might appear for
10 matches
