I tested the latest upstream kernel which seems to oops my system
(alt+sysrq+b won't reboot even, though I'm not sure magic sysrq is
enabled on the machine). I'm not sure how to debug something in such a
state.
As there seems to be a regression in mainline, I think at least this bug
can be closed.

I've got a friend who owns one of those Appleproducts that I can't stand
(promise, not me). Everytime a playlist is removed from an iPod (whether
the playlist is empty or not doesn't matter) Rhythmbox crashes with the

following reasons are why I suspect 2.6.38 to be the culprit:
1. I have a 2TB disk with btrfs filesystem on an encrypted (cryptsetup) LUKS
partition
2. I set it up and installed using Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid, and
I got this with 2.6.38-8 at least, and latest updates per 2011-04-19

I have no idea what caused this. I was merely confronted with a bug
crash report window.
One of the dialogs (the last one before asking to submit the bug report)
didn't have any text whatsoever, so I answered 'yes'. And I have no idea
whether this is a regression or not, and
The projector keeps blinking as if it is getting a signal but not able
to display it. No message about synchronization or resolution is shown
(I have tried setting a very low resolution for external display too).

I am experiencing this problem too (marked #463582 as duplicate) and my
steps to reproduce include a new session - and even a separate user. So
this bug seems to be generic for any kind of account deletion, even with
the original user created by a clean install of at least Ubuntu 9.10.

My guess is that this was caused in combination with 'gnome-display-
properties'. My system seemed to lock up when my monitors were probed
and an external monitor was configured for an extended desktop with a
higher resolution than 1024x768 (at least).
