I don't know how to acquire the actual crash report.
But from the crash dialog here are some interesting items:
o LPStat shows 2 items for the same Canon MX410 Series printer - one USB and

to grab logs for the case when the system locks up (I assume they can't
persist anywhere since the disk is still encrypted?)?

bluez 5.78 appears to resolve this for me (at least symptom wise,
haven't checked the first attempt logs since didn't notice any bad
behavior). is the fix cherry picked in

thing? haven't tried downgrading to that package version
also the more I look at it the more the lock seems associated with the
speed in which I type the password rather than the waiting time I
mentioned earlier. but maybe both contribute?

After pressing escape, I see an "enter your password to unlock nvme
crypt:" type prompt at the top of the screen. If I start typing each
key I press puts a space character / moves the cursor one character to
the right. If I type fast enough (ie, at a reasonable speed), the
cursor stops moving and

clicking maximize button.

I issued this command from terminal and then reinstalled. It worked.
Before, I was uninstalling from the Software Center. Something about

I am experiencing this as well on a fresh install of 24.04 to a blank
NVMe using the ZFS with encryption option. I see similar error messages
under the password dialog when unlocking the disk. As far as I can tell
things seem to work fine.

The bug persists with the same behavior and the same output from evtest

I just tried it with Arch but I couldn't figure out how to get past the
initial setup screen. The bug doesn't exist on that initial terminal
screen in set-up. That prompted me to try typing on that temporary CLI
login that shows up when starting Mint from a full power off

I'm guessing the bug is in gsd-keyboard, but I can't imagine it being
from anywhere else.
I have also submitted a bug report with the Mint team, where I found the
bug, and so I will copy all the extra information from that report in a
follow-up comment.

By activating the proposed repository I did not get any updates for
gimp. So i installed it via
sudo apt install gimp/noble-proposed
And I can confirm, that the patch works. No more crashes while closing
Gimp. Before I had them all the time.
