Yes, bios is up to date. Things used to work, and regressed toward the end of october last year, probably after 23.10 release, but not immediately after upgrading to mantic ( see original untriaged bug here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2042043 )
