I can confirm. In Ubuntu 16.04, I can connect to our VPN only through
the command-line client openconnect.
I' ve installed network-manager-openconnect-gnome and network-manager-
openconnect, restarted but there is no OpenConnect option in
NetworkManager applet -> VPN Connections -> Configure VPN -

The crash also happens on my Kubuntu 11.04 running on Geforce 8600 using

Seems my problems stemmed from missing dma setting.
I solved them by adding:
1) "options pata_ali atapi_dma=1" in /etc/modprobe.d/options (new file for me!)
2) "echo 1 > /sys/module/pata_ali/parameters/atapi_dma" in /etc/rc.local
and finally I added
"pata_ali atapi_dma=1" to "/etc/ini

Trying to upgrade from Ubuntu Hardy to Intrepid Ibex (on VirtualBox OSE 1.6.2
and Debian Sid/linux 2.6.26), here.
Initially I got the same kernel panic error, but "noreplace-paravirt" boot
option did the trick.
Now I can boot with or w/ any ACPI enabled in the Advanced settings of
VirtualBox.
