Looking at the design of User Accounts and Networks for comparison, the
"Add" feature of Online Accounts actually behaves quite differently.
Selecting add account changes the content in the right hand side column,
whereas "add" elsewhere actually launches a popover. For now I think we
leave this as

I'd just like to say that I'm getting this too, and the big problem here
is that there is nothing in any logs I can see that actually says what
the permission not being granted is.
Usually, the error includes something like...
java.security.AccessControlException: access denied

I worked around it by changing the speed of the Wireless LAN on the
Linksys (Wireless, Advanced Wireless settings) from Auto to 24Mb.

I suspect the blinking Caps and Num Lock light system freeze crash was being
caused by WEP security on my 'Open' brand modem (same company as 'Billion').
Have installed the new kernel, and am now regularly losing mouse and mousepad
functionality and usb mouse, keyboard works fine. System reboots
convenient for delegates to write on
when printed out. Open Office Impress 2.4 doesn't give any such options.
Please advise if you have this feature planned for a future release.

Will try that next time. However, now I'm not sure if it's kernel
specific, this is what happened next:
- After the kernel panic, I booted into OS X, where I could change the symbolic
links in /boot on my Ubuntu partition. I changed vmlinux and initrd.img to
point at 2.6.20-5, and rebooted.

FWIW, I just updated the x86 box to Feisty and it still doesn't work.

Which version of Solaris are you using that you can't resize windows
from any corner?! JDS (GNOME), CDE, OpenWindows, they've all allowed
this...

I have an external HD attached to an x86 box running Edgy, with latest
updates. The external HD has an ext2 and an HFS+ partition on it, both
of which are mounted read/write on the Edgy box.
I can export the ext2 partition over NFS just fine, but try as I might,

That was the case, yes... have since moved onto Edgy and everything's
working fine, so can't give you any further information any more I"m
afraid.

I was having to symlink cursor.pcf.gz -> olcursor.pcf.gz, for reasons
that I don't entirely remember now. Removed that and reinstalled all my
xfonts-* packages for good measure, and everything is fine now.

Ok, seems this one was my fault. An Edgy upgrade in July caused X
startup to fail because it couldn't find the cursor font, so I had to do
a little hackery at the time to make it work. Now that I've removed the
hack, everything seems to work again...
