Will try that next time. However, now I'm not sure if it's kernel specific, this is what happened next:
- After the kernel panic, I booted into OS X, where I could change the symbolic links in /boot on my Ubuntu partition. I changed vmlinux and initrd.img to point at 2.6.20-5, and rebooted. - Booted into Ubuntu successfully. - Next attempt to boot into Ubuntu failed with the same kernel panic. - Changed the symlinks back to point at 2.6.20-6 again. - Booted into Ubuntu successfully. - Next attempt to boot into Ubuntu failed with the same kernel panic. - Changed the symlinks back to point at 2.6.20-5 again. ... and so on. Only other information I have at this time is that the first kernel panic happened when I booted with my USB stick attached, which I don't usually do. (Since then, it happens whether the USB stick is attached or not, though.) -- 2.6.20-6-powerpc panic on PowerBook G4 https://launchpad.net/bugs/83599 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
