"Print to PDF" in GNOME has nothing to do with CUPS and Ghostscript.
GNOME does not send any thing to CUPS but it generates the PDF by
itself. So an update of libgnomeprint, libcairo, or libgtk has most
probably introduced the fix.
Note that PDFs once generated are broken, re-rendering with evince

I don't think this is a bug. Power saving is designed to darken the
screen, in order to save the battery.

I can't seem to edit my previous comment, so I'll make another: make
sure when you issue the above command, you replace the hex in the dbus
path with your own device's address. You can find this from "hcitool
scan" if its discoverable.

I was having the same problem as zeusOne. After a bunch of
investigation, it became clear that bluetoothd didn't have all the
necessary dbus devices set up internally. Forcing it to do service
discovery on my headphones (Plantronics 590A, in a2dp mode) made it all

I've installed Arch Linux on my computer and have a working native-
broadcom driver so when I get back to my school tomorrow, I'll test out
the wpa2 network again. Hopefully the logs from 2 OSes should provide
enough comparison to determine the problem.

Since this issue has been acknowledged by nvidia and fixed in their
latest drivers (supposedly), I'm going to mark this as resolved.
Officially it was known by nvidia as "a regression on 7 series gpu's
that could cause artifacting and non-updating screens"

Thanks for requesting for sumbitting this in efforts to help improve
ubuntu. The binaries are not available at this time. On the Liquid PCB
site it states "Linux binaries should be coming soon. Someone is trying
to compile this for Debian, and I'll make the binaries available as soon
as I can. " I
The attachments you wanted are included. Use Ubuntu desktop 8.04LTS.
Video card is ATI Radeon HD2400XT. Do not know how to run
without /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Have downloaded the latest drivers for ATI
but cannot convert from .run to .deb to get it to work. Still trying.
