This is the effective diff between 2007e and 2007f which applies to all
stable releases. There are only DST rule changes, no new, removed, or
merged TZs, so this is no problem at all.

this in at the moment, I did have the same problem on a SuSE laptop
recently, running kernel 2.6.22.1-default and wireless-tools-29pre10-22.
Simply running "iwlist scan" seems to trigger the association and fix

I've experienced exactly the same problem. I'd noticed that my computer
was running very sluggishly and it felt like a memory issue. CPU usage
was normal, yet all of X seemed painfully slow.

When I upgraded from 6.06 to 7.04, I'm having errors burning CDRs. The
hardware hasn't changed at all between version upgrades, so I don't
think hardware is the issue. At first I thought it might be wodim, since
that's replaced cdrecord. However, I switched to cdrdao and am still
having problems.
Actually, eth2 is the gigabit wired network and eth3 is 100 megabit. The
computer does not have a wireless card.
Today I was able to get dhcp to assign me an address. I have been
updating gutsy since I reported this bug so it is possible that an
update fixed it.

I'm triying to (re)-install Feisty in PC, what is weird is that I
installed 6.10 using the Live-CD version without problem. My Hardware is
modern, (I have a ASUS Motherboard with a AMD X2 3800+ and 1 GB in RAM)
so I don't think it is (only) related to old hardware as some
forums/webpages point out.
I can (more or less) confirm this bug, since I have it too, but ONLY on

Well, the idea to install an old libgtk2.0 wasn't so good after all. It
broke lots of dependencies and I made the mistake to do some upgrades
after that - it practically removed everything one needs. I'll be

In my particular case the 3d desktop effects being enabled by default
made X crash and prevented logging in. I rebooted in recovery mode and
removed all compiz related packages (which my VIA chipset-based display
adapter does not support anyways).

It happens every time when wireshark is running in my feisty without
compiz.
I tried to repeat the bug in terminal with a nontransparent image. The
bug still happens, but the second tab becomes solid instead of the the
third.
My feisty is upgraded from dapper, does it make a difference? This bug

can't login
1) sudo nano /etc/gdm/gdm.conf
2) CTRL-W (find) debian-moreblue
Edit the line so it reads:
GraphicalTheme=Human
3) sudo /etc/init.d/gdm reload
