This is a valid and good point. But this behavior is the default GTK one
and I haven't found a way to change it. You can also find the same
situation in evolution: If you sort by date, you will get the oldest
message on top. Perhaps this is not always the desired behavior too.

Testing of this bug was blocked by the SHMConfig bug, but after applying the
workaround to my xorg.conf in Dapper, I was able to disable my touchpad using
the special key.

Tom, this is probably configuration issue.
CUPS can be server, contacting other CUPS server (default in Ubuntu) or
it could be clilent contacting CUPS server (this requiers manual setup).
Please attach /etc/cups/cupsd.conf and /etc/cups/cups.d/* files here, so
we could see where the problems is.
works much better for me, I can now do a purge on all "uninstalled"
packages without it chewing up cpu.

UPDATE:
Ah, I think I found something :
I started Windows XP (that's what I used to set the volume label to "Camera
64MB", initially), and noticed that it TOO, didn't show the volume name !
So I (re)created it, then miracle, Ubuntu can now display it !
I am not sure how it disappeared though ! Ma

This problem seems to affect only certain shortcut's. For instance,
setting the shortcut for "Pause" *isable* one of my keys (letter-
before-E key, as you might notice), but *oing so for the "Log out"
shortcut *i* not reveal this bug.

Whenever I try to open System->administration->disks manager and my pen
drive is attached, it stays on the grayed out mode forever.
I've run "sudo gksu disks-admin" on the command line and the shell
returns no output also.
When I remove the pendrive, it works normaly.
