Since I'm new on this mailing list, I thought I'd better introduce
myself...
I'm a 23 yr old French chick ;-) currently an engineering student
and majoring in computer science, also taking a Bachelor's degree

MB memory, 200 MB disk, and no CD-ROM, trying to get a mob

We used Minix on our Atari STs for a while. It's not a Linux, but
it is a POSIX-Unix system.

I don't know of any dedicated "small" distros - there are a couple of
"micro" distributi
My husband stumbled across one on Fresh Meat a few weeks ago. I remember
talking with him about it. He didn't d/load it as we didn't need it, but
just go look around there and see if you can find it. The entire OS fits on
a floppy.

Well, a stripped down Debian install is something like 30-50 megs.
There is Neptune Linux, which is two diskettes.
