I've just installed RedHat 6.1 (bog standard Gnome workstation install) on a
Dell PIII 500MHz with 64MB dual boot with W98. The problem is that I keep
getting these segmentaion memory problems. Out of the few apps I've used so

local second-hand stores, I finally come up with a CVideo-Mail Express
Parallel webcam. Great... this is supported under the cpia driver.
The driver installs, and loads just fun. No problems there.
That I need advice/pointers

Hey Sandyj,
Check out portforwarding, I believe the program is called ipmasqadm. It
will take incoming requests on whatever port you want and redirect them to
any machine, any port.

I'm running Mandrake 7.0 with GNOME and KDE and Afterstep installed, and I'm
wondering how you change between desktop managers.
I've currently got AfterStep, but I'd like to switch to using KDE (or maybe
GNOME...)

vidcat. With vidcat and stamp, I was able to create a script that works
pretty well for what I want.

Create a file called ~/.Xclients, and in it put:
exec startkde # if you want to use kde or:
exec gnome-session # if yo
There is a good mp3 player called mpg123, you can find it at
freshmeat.net, just search for it.
I would recommend using a floppy based distro that copies itself to ram.
And a question, i wonder how you plan to manage your playlists? With a
keyboard and monitor? IR?
