Hi Stephen - good to bear this in mind, but I keep TALKS in phone memory,
find it's best that way. However, thinking about performance from the phone
using a large capacity card, is the overall performance improved by the
class of card? I don't know what class the 32gb cards come in, but have se
Hi all
After writing an sms I wish to send, I pressed talks and I hold down key2
for a second.
Talks told me:
"20, 2, upper case."
>From What I have read on this list earlier, the number 2 means I have
exceeded the number of characters of one sms.
The maximum number of characters for 1 sms is 60.

Well lets see, on my phones the longest SMS message before it goes to a 2nd
message is 160 characters not 60 characters. However I do not recall if the
2nd/3rd/etc... part of the message is the same length. So they way I read

I also said if you do a Long Volume up, that this would then switch you
between the ability to switch between Left/Right movement like between the
tabs within the Talks settings. Then if you do another Long Volume up, this
will then move you to the ability to move between the different softkeys

On the existing Nokia phone it isn't going to make a whole lot of
difference. But normally the higher class of card means that the card is
faster. There are 4 classes of cards out. Class 2 means the card can read at
2MB per second. Class 4 means the card can read at 4MB per second. Class
Thanks Steve.
I was wondering about that as my wife and I have just bought two N86 phones.

Hello,
I'm using N86, and I noticed that my clock is10 minutes late, any idea on
how to set it right?
When I go to Clock and enter on time tab sheet, it takes me to set the
alarm, which is not what I need.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Estelita
Many thanks Stephen for this explanation, I understand it now, and see that
a class 2 will be fine for me, and that the only gain with a faster class
card really, would be when transferring data to it from my laptop's reader.

Assuming it's like my N82, you need to arrow right or left to get to where
you need to be. Tabsheet means there are several menus, and you can arrow
right or left to get to them, then down to what you need.

Assuming it's like
No that will not do what you want. When you first go into the block, try
pressing option and then arrow to settings and press select. That will take you
to a screen to set the time and more for the block.

Voice over is a Apple software package that only runs on the IPhone and will
not work on the Symbian platform. So based on that, you can not really compare
the two on the same platforms. talks will not run on the IPhone and Voice Over
will not run on the Nokia phones.

Its very hard to compare the too. For me, Voice Over is clearer but, it
could be the pitch of the female voice that is used. Talks voice is
identical to my JAWS voice so was not a problem to get used to. I have
noticed that my daughter doesn't turn off Voice Over on the phone as she did
Talks.

There is only a passing reference to Skype in the Manual and I cannot find
this discussed on Google.
Thanks in advance.

Also, VoiceOver is a native part of the OS, so you're guaranteed that every
part of the phone is accessible when you receive it. The gestures are modified
somewhat to make it easier to interact with the phone by touch, but there are
no specific screen reader commands to learn. Not every third pa
Am I right to assume the largest memory card I can put in my e66 is 2GB?

You should be able to go higher then that. But find for a higher class if
you wish to go for higher capacity. Class is displayed at the corner of the
memory card, very small. Even sellers don't noticed or know of this at
times.

Hi NIcol,
1. The 1st sms of a mobile is 160 and not 60. When it comes to the 2nd
sms, it will drop only to 145.
2. The chars per sms include new line as well, hard return.

Yes you can use a Micro SDHC card in the phone. It doesn't matter if you get
a higher speed class being Nokia uses slow data transfer to/from the memory
card. So what I'm saying is a higher speed card isn't going to gain you
anything on the phone but will on the PC if you use a memory card reade

As far as Nokia is concern, it support up to 8gb.

You can check the memory status screen on your phone to see where the memory is
being used. This will give you 10 things about the memory. It will tell you how
much your calendar is using, how much your contacts are using, how much your
messages are using, and much more. This will then give you
