I also said if you do a Long Volume up, that this would then switch you
between the ability to switch between Left/Right movement like between the
tabs within the Talks settings. Then if you do another Long Volume up, this
will then move you to the ability to move between the different softkeys.
Please note, I didn't say anything about pressing Talks before the long
volume up. Just press a long volume up to switch Talks to moving between the
different types of fields on the screen. If you keep repeeting this, you
will come back to the ability to move up and down a list. Note! Talks
doesn't say anything when you do a long volume up as far as telling you what
you will be moving between. You'll just have to use the up/down volume keys
to see what changes.
So I will give a example to help people on a touch screen.
1. Lets go into the Talks settings by pressing Talks followed by the Talks
settings button on the screen.
2. Now when you use the volume up/down, you notice it moves you between the
different settings you can change. Things like Speech, volume, speed etc...
3. Now press and hold the volume up key for about one seconds and release
it.
4. Now use the volume up/down. You will notice it now moves you between the
different tabs within the Talks settings.
5. Lets say you want to change something on the advanced tab.
6. You will now need to press and hold the long volume up key and release
it. You will be in the SoftKey movement area.
7. Press and hold the long volume up key again. Now you will be in the
up/down movement.
8. move to the item you want to change and change it.
9. Now lets say you want to exit the Talks settings but you want to use the
volume keys to do it.
10. Remember the volume keys at this point, are in the UP/DOWN movement
area.
11. So you will need to do two long presses of the Volume UP to get to the
SoftKey movement area.
12. Use the Volume Up/Down to get to the SoftKey you want (EXIT) and do a
Long press of Volume down to select that key.
Keep in mind, you are still in SoftKey movement. Also notice I didn't say
anything about pressing the Talks key when we whir in the Talks settings at
all. We did all of this through using teh volume keys only.

Subject: [Talks] Talks navigation in N97 Mini.
Hi to steven and all,
Previously, Steven said that Talks follow-up by Cursor down key will
change
the function of the volume key to either Volume or Navigation for Talks in
touch screen phones. At least that was about X6.
I had a chance to try out N97 Mini yesterday. Pressing Talks andVol Down
key will allow changes to Volume or Navigation function, right. But
This
Navigation is only for up down and not left right.
Steve or any others using touch screen phone, please advice how to change
to
Left to Right navigation on the volume key.
I did a Talks +LongKeyPressVolumeDown to perform the above, so any other
command here?
\
Thanks and Regards,
KITT.
