well I tried all the settings and finally got the problem nailed. The mms
compatible setting seems to be the problem. Standard works ok as does high
but try using the other setting mms compatible . The odd thing with that
setting I could hear one of the nokia voices very softly when the

I just tried it again the recording went for about 2 seconds then just
aborted. It captured talks saying 0 percent. the longest recording I have
been able to achieve today was 24 seconds. It worked fine before I updated
the phone as I use the voice recorder a lot. In some ways this is worse
you may not be running the same firmware is your symbol list spoken?

Well I've just discovered the voice recorder will only work for a few seconds
unless talks is muted. If you change the audio priority to two in the talks
app settings the voice recorder will not work at all. When I first discovered
this I had skype running so naturally I closed skype and tried

That is the Not Symbolor caret Symbol. Never had a reason to use it on the
cell phone. At least JAWS calls it the Carret Symbol. When looking through
the Symbol screen on my N95, I do not find any Not or Carret Symbol. So this
could meen one of many things.
