I have no Idea what the hex output could mean
but from reading the sources of that that driver
it apparently fails setting the window size of the
scanner glass (also in ADF mode)
It might be useful to give some more info about the Scanner:
Fujitsu Image Scanner M3096G (SCSI finds M3096Gim)

What are the vendor and product ids?
You might use Hennings checkscanner utility to check for the
chipset, if it is a LM983x one, we might can use the Plustek backend
http://www.meier-geinitz.de/sane/check-usb-scanner/
use at least v8

Hi,
I've got a quick question... I've got a canon N 650U, scanner which is
working perfectly with sane.
The problem is, each time I scan, it appears the scanner does a
calibration before each scan.
Under windows, the scanner gui interface has a button that you press to
perform the calibration.

Hello,
I been using my Epson 1650 for weeks without problems,
but am now unable to get it to work. I've rebooted
since I last had it working, but don't remember doing
anything special since the reboot before that to make
it work. Both xsane and scanimage have the same
problem.

Hi,
The debugging output of the FUJITSU Module
confuses me:
ERROR: failed to set window
The Fujitsu Moduke is from Sept/2002.
I had a look at current fujitsu sources
(Feb/2003) but could not find a hint
that this has been adressed.
Is there any hint where I could continue to look for ?
Thank
Hi
I still cannot write my own back-end, but looking for resources about this
scanner, I found this PDF manual:
http://www.geniusnet.com.tw/product/manual/HR7LE-HR7X.pdf
The only difference between HR7LE (which is already supported) seems to be the
transparency or negative film adapter, as is

Whoops sorry all
The previous message was not intended for the list at all, a mouse click
error.
The first attempt was with 7bit encoding that made the file size 5.2meg and
bounced.
The second attempt has not bounced and is 8bit raw file 3.9meg, so I guess
your mail box is 5meg.
Question is can you watch the movie, or did the 8bit screw up?
