Make sure that you don't have the binary version of sane delivered with
Mandrake still on your system (e.g. /usr/lib/sane should be empty/not
existent).

I thought that we had decided that *the* contact person for all things

Hi,
New backends must have been included into sane-backends until
2002-04-22 (next Monday). As we need some time to check the backends
(and you to fix them :-) please contact the list during the next days,
if you want to see your backend in sane-backends-1.0.8.

Hi,
This is the current TODO list. I don't think that we have any
release-critical bugs but they will show up immediately before the
release as usual :-/
Backend-maintainers please check if the TODO list contains an entry
about your backend. If an entry is obsolete, please change it in the

I don't know why this happens.
The only other reason I can thinks of is
Whenever I scan something larger than about 10 by 7 cm in save mode to

Hi Henning,
I plan to submit the leo backend later this week. It's ready but missing
some documentation and translation.
Frank.

it.
Frank.

on ISA card).
At this point the scanner is recognized by sane-find-scanner program but it
is not by scanimage or xscanimage.
Maybe it's a bug or maybe it's a config problem, i don't know.
I tried the FAQ, the archi
Hi,
I'm trying to build and install sane on a digital

The configure doesn't find jpeg libs and includes although
they're installed in /usr/local/lib and /usr/local/include.
It does find gcc though. I even have LD_LIBRARY_PATH set for /us
