it seems that jmol thinks it is serving the
graphics but it is not visible there. I don't know whose bug this is: sage,
firefox, jmol, or java. No error messages are to be found anywhere.

If I click the jmol in the bottom right corner of the black box I get the
jmol console which doesn't have any obvious error messages.
I'm at a loss what to try next.
