[sage-devel] SAGE-2.9.rc0 released!

2007-12-15 Thread mabshoff

2007-12-14 Thread mabshoff
Hello, This is alpha7, as you can guess alpha6 wasn't really ready for prime time. The main problem were little build oddities and some larger integration issues with ATLAS fixed by Josh Kantor and yours truly. Additionally I merged a bunch of other, non-ATLAS related fixes by William Stein, Robe

[sage-devel] Sage-2.9.alpha5 released

[sage-devel] Sage-2.9.alpha1 released

2007-12-06 Thread mabshoff
Hello, The clisp update didn't work out due to a known issue with gcc 4.2.3 with Debian testing on x86. So I reverted back to clisp-2.41.p11.spkg. There was some fallout from the updated cremona.spkg, but now it should work out of the box. FLINT was updated to 1.0. Until the final release I plan

[sage-devel] Sage-2.9.alpha0 released, request for reviews

2007-12-05 Thread mabshoff
Hello, the release cycle has started and so far only 5 tickets were closed. Since we update clisp (which is tricky) and also updated cremona.spkg to take over the functionality of mwrank this might be a little rough to get right on the first try. The tarball is available at http://sage.math.wash
