Have you folks seen this:

William,
You have 9 M190s each running at 800 mA according to spec sheet. That
equals 7.2 A nominal output current. Plus you have 10 M250s (if you look at
your drawing) each running at 1 A = 10 A. 7.2 A + 10 A = 17.2 A * 1.25 =
21.5 A min breaker size. So, you'll need to round your breaker to a
ystem yet where
it didn't work. Our pricing has this cost worked into it.

Unfortunately I believe the Sunny Tripower is only good for 480 V
applications. I'm not aware of other 240 V 3-phase inverters on the market
(other than the Fronius). We run into a lot of 208 V 3-phase here in the
Bay Area and unfortunately can't use these cool new 3-phase inverters from

Chris,
Good point, we've installed a few of these P1 10k units and have been
relatively happy. My understanding is that the first batch being sold in
the US was very problematic but I think they're ironing out the kinks now.
We have had a couple of failures but P1 tech support swapped them with
Hi Bill -
Thanks, this is helpful info. Do you know how to calculate or approximate
how we would keep the unbalanced voltage to less than 3%? I guess I need to
check out ANSI/C84.1-2011 but I thought maybe there are some ballpark rules
of thumb.
Thanks,

Hi All –
I’m not sure whether Hellermann Tyton is related to Heyco, but I know of
the SunBundler product through Heyco:

conduit so the
question had never occurred to me. Obviously, you have to bond both ends of
the conduit if it is over 250 v. I know that AC would have induction issues
with running individual conductors but I’m not sure with DC.

As many of your are aware, the 2011 NEC is coming to California in the new
year and so we'll start installing AFCI inverters on our projects. Has
anyone had experience with the AFCI string inverters from Power-One? I've
heard through the grapevine that some people have had problems with

Hi Glenn,
This is a confusing passage without seeing the context from the other parts
of 690.47 (A, B, C etc). Can you send the full passage if it’s handy for
you? My 2014 NEC is in the mail so I have yet to see the full implications
of this section.

Hi Chris,
Another free option might be RETscreen:

OnGrid and Clean Power Finance Tools are two popular paid options, both

Hi Roland,
We’ve installed around ten Power-One micro systems with mostly good
results. All in all, I’d say the installation is very similar to an Enphase
M215 based system if you are familiar with those. As William mentioned on a
separate post, the cabling is a bit expensive but otherwise simil
All Battery Wrenches,
I’m servicing an existing battery backup system with some big Deka AGM

Hi William,
About 5 years ago this became a big issue up in San Francisco and we had to
learn the hard way. We used to just go buy outdoor EMT fittings and we were
okay, then the inspectors started requiring fittings that say raintight or
wet location (often stamped “wetloc”) on them. I don’t kn

Hi William,
About 5 years ago this became a big i

the color definitely fades. We also bonded both ends of the tray per NEC
