You might check out the AEMC 503
http://www.testequipmentdepot.com/AEMC/ClampOnMeters/503.htm

I prefer my fluke 336 but the AEMC also provides good results, is more compact,
and is about half the cost. When it comes to seriously troubleshooting a system
I want to make sure my meter is functioning perfectly so I stick with the fluke.

Joel, the best "tool" Investment I ever made was my Fluke 336 (had it for years
until someone wanted it bad enough to steal), I replaced it with a 337 and have
a Mastech MS2138R as a back up, both have served me well......

Subject: [RE-wrenches] Craftsman 82062 DC/AC Amp Clamp

Wrenches,

I really like my little Craftsman 82062 Multi-Meter with DC/AC Amp Clamp
because it has a wide range, measures amps, volts, continuity, and low price.
It's a handy little all-in-one trouble-shooting tool - when it works. The
trouble is it does not stand up to field use (cheap). I'm really careful (even
have the original cheap plastic case in brand new condition) but have gone
through 3 meters in a few years. Any recommendations for a small multi-meter
with a small DC amp clamp for getting into tight spaces? As always, thank you
very much for your advice.
