Yes, it was fun seeing you again, Jeremy. Now I'm having a coffee in Berkeley
planning my trip to Steep Ravine Tuesday (I think.)

My brother and I have been talking Bolinas Ridge or perhaps some Mount Tam fire
roads heading generally north via dirt and then riding Drake to get back south
this Wednesday. Anyone interested in coming or want to offer improved route
ideas?
I'll be riding 700x55's.

Is it safe to say the following in general:
On an older 27" road frame, switching to 700C on a frame with Sidepull brakes
is hassle-free, but on a frame with cantilever brakes, there will often be
problems with pad alignment.

There was a time where, at that frame size, you'd know the A/R by its 26"
wheels. On not-large ones, 26" wheels were a defining characteristic.

They are the best shifter style for using one's left hand to shift the right
shifter or vice versa if/when the need ever arises.
I'm really liking my IRD stem shifter mounts. They go well with Shimano bar-end
shifters.

That is such a great deal. Seems to be the paint characteristic of the higher end models and under $1000. Anyone who fits this frame and who needs one couldn't find a better price for a do-all Rivendell. It's just one tiny notch below Atlantis in terms of allrounderness.-Original Message-
