Yeah, hey Patrick, since you have been considering spending some money on a Roadeo or an RB-1, maybe you could spend that money on having the following work done on one of your Rivendell frames:
Get a frame-builder to add a derailleur hanger. Get some cable stops and guides brazed on for shift cables Get new paint It sounds like a bike that would fit the bill for what you've been after in a derailleur bike.
