The 47 is the previous geometry, I think. I compared the two on Bike Insights and there is quite a difference, more so than you'd think between the sizes. The 47 has much less stack and the top tube is about 4 cm shorter. I'd hold out for a 50 in the newer geometry if I were Leah. The newer mod

I lean forward but not downward with the Tosco bars on my Clem. I get neck pain when the forward lean is also downward over long distances so the bars being above the saddle is my preference. The grip portion of the bars does sit me upright but the bars have a couple of forward areas that I use

I have a Velo Orange Klunker bar that I'm not using. It does have I think 45 degrees of back sweep and is 680 mm wide. It also has 3 inches of rise which I needed on the bike I had it on. I doubt most Rivendells need that much rise though. It only works with a removable faceplate stem. Let me k
