Does anyone have a 100mm Dirt Drop stem that they are no longer using? Can
be Nitto, Specialized, or something similar (I know there were a couple of
clones out there). 25.4mm clamp. Black would be perfect, won't complain if
it's not.

Nice post Jim, Looks like a great ride with the dirt sections. I normally
stay away from Charity rides and such due to the unknown rider skills issue
but this one is on my list for someday. I find it very fascinating that

The Duremes and Supremes are really the same tire with slightly different
tread.
Differences ? Sure ... the 50mm will be a bit cushier over bumps with the
extra volume of air it can hold. A bit heavier. Like or dislike depends on
the rider.
Concerns ? No . Everything's apples and orange

I'm close to your total payload and I use 38-622 $15 tires from Amazon on my
Dyad rims (36 in front, 40 in back) on screened trails and rough roads.
Certainly no concerns.
Someday I'm gonna try Marathon Supremes to see if they're an upgrade I'd value.
But frankly I find my current tires okay.
Agree completely. And note that having a double kickstand can make maintenance
more straightforward. I can't spin pedals past the down kickstand. But I can
remove either wheel, as long as the fork is restrained from flopping.
With front wheel in place, I use the PDW leather/velcro pant-leg restr
