Other than being a larger size, the frame is essentially identical to my own 1995 Road Std, right down to the Sherwood Forest green single- color paint. Mine lacks the "Hadcrafted - Waterford Wisconsin" decal but the Rivendell decal is trhe same as on mine. Looks original and correct to me. Bi

Hi James - Yeah, now you got me looking at my old Riv Readers. I see on page 31 of the #3 Reader ("Rivendell Frames") that Grant stated they were using Reynold 531 for the forks, as you quoted. Gosh, if I'd known that at the time I might have asked them to chrome the fork on my Riv! (You can't c

The decal on the downtube of the bicycle on eBay is the same as that on my Rivendell, which was purchased new by me in 1996 (I'd assume it was also used in 1995). The only thing that looks unusual to me is the Reynolds 531 decal on the forks, I'm relatively sure that Reynolds 753 was the only tub

The bike is lovely, but I'm not sure it's a 95. We'd need the serial # to know. The Riv decal is later (a repaint? Not mentioned in the ad) than the original. I've always liked that Sherwood Green. From: CycloFiend To: rbw group Sent: Sunday, July 5, 2009 3
