Hi James - Yeah, now you got me looking at my old Riv Readers. I see on page 31 of the #3 Reader ("Rivendell Frames") that Grant stated they were using Reynold 531 for the forks, as you quoted. Gosh, if I'd known that at the time I might have asked them to chrome the fork on my Riv! (You can't chrome Reynold 753 because it was heat treated, as you probably know).
