someone on the list. If you are anywhere else, feel free to get in
touch and we can tr

Thanks so much!

Hey there,
I'm finally getting around to selling by RB1 which is very sad but I
hope someone will enjoy riding it more often than I do. I bought it a

They just feel lighter and faster to me. They have flatted 2 or 3
times which is more that the T-Servs I used to have. But I live and
ride in NYC which is kind of rough on tires -- plenty of broken glass.

Hey there,
I've been riding w/ Brooks saddle for several years and I've come to
worry that I'm putting too much pressure on my softer parts. I've try
adjustments but I'd love to know if anyone has a recommendation for a
simple saddle w/ a slot to protect me that might be great and look
good w/ my
I second the 1.5 Marathon Racers. I run them on my Atlantis in NYC.
When I first got the bike I was running 1.5 inch Paselas and they felt
slow. I switched to 1.25 T-Servs. I liked them but somehow wanted
something cushier. The Racers feel very fast and cushier. I'd be
curious to try the 1.5
Congrats on the new bike. I have one question though. Isn't the
Hillborne just as heavy as the Atlantis? I thought it was made out of
the same gauge tubing and the "which bike for what" .pdf on the riv
site says it's just as tourable. Just curious as to whether this is
true or not. Thanks!

I ordered a Silca and I thought it was terrible. It just felt like a
piece of cheap junk. I know people love them and maybe they used to
be better made or maybe I just don't know what I'm doing.

Hi all,
My Atlantis got a ding in the rear wheel somehow. When I turn the
bike upside down and look at the wheel spinning there is a slight up
and down movement. I took it to a local mechanic and they said that
it couldn't be trued out and were sort of noncommittal about whether
the wheel needs
Why not just call it the Atlantis 3 and make it in Taiwan? As opposed
to the current Atlantis 2. Seems a shame to not have any 26 inch
wheeled bikes available in the line. And why spend all this time
developing a reputation around a name and then just abandon it?
Especially when it's the least
Just for a bit of context for those of us who are ignorant. How much
does a classic steel frame weight. Like say a late 70s Raleigh
Competition. And then how much does a Japanese 80s top of the line
steel frame weigh? Thanks!

I just switched out 26 x 1.25 Tservs for 1.5 inch Marsthon Racers and
am very happy. I'd say the racers feel almost exactly as fast as the
narrower tservs. The 1.5 in Pasela Tourguards I had felt considerably
slower. I also got my first flat in over a year. Maybe just
coincidence, but we'll se
Hi all,
I'm selling my Carradice Junior Saddlebag. It's basically brand new.
I rode with it on maybe 2 or 3 short rides. It looks like the one in

after the Roadeo. How about the Riv Urban bike? In fact, I've always
been a bit resentful of the terms "Country Bike." Why is a sturdy
bike with biggish wheels and fenders supposed to be ridden in the
country??

Sounds like you're about to put the Atlantis to "sleep." I hope not!
To me, it's the ultimate Riv bike. Truly capable of doing anything.
It's not a middle of the road, good at doing a lot of things type of
all-around bike that's become popular now like the Velo Orange bikes
or the Homer Hilsen.
The tires came, tubes were installed and all is well.
By the way, the Marathon Racers after a short ride around the
neighborhood. They don't seem noticeably slower than the 1.25 inch
Tservs and they definitely take on the unavoidable bumps of Brooklyn
better. If memory serves, the 1.5 Pasela TG

I think maybe I wasn't clear. I know that the tourguards are the
folding kevlar models, but people say they prefer the non-tourguards.
