I just switched out 26 x 1.25 Tservs for 1.5 inch Marsthon Racers and am very happy. I'd say the racers feel almost exactly as fast as the narrower tservs. The 1.5 in Pasela Tourguards I had felt considerably slower. I also got my first flat in over a year. Maybe just coincidence, but we'll see.
