Milburn Hotel, 76th street, just west of Broadway, and two blocks east of
Riverside Park. Also near Central Park, the Met, a bunch of nice little

Actually, I got the frame unpainted from Rivendell and had Joe Bell
and his team file off the original brifter cable guide braze-ons and
then braze-on the down tube shifter mounts when they did the paint.

I am selling my Brand V Handlebar bag - it is the soft one that Riv
sold several months ago, not the new BoxyBar Bag.

Not bad turnaround time, considering that only Mark Nobilette
building for Rivendell, and he has his RH gig , too
It took a little over a year for the frame to be built (which was
fine-- I needed that time to pay it off!) Then there was the wait on
the paint which was longer than I expected, but you don't rush
perfection. All told, about 15 months from when I placed the order.

Yeah, I was curious about that. I have owned a TarpTent Rainbow for several
years. I use it for backpacking. I use trekking poles to turn it into a
free-stander. Great tent. Henry makes a lot of good stuff. If I get another
tent, I'm going for the double rainbow.

Yeah if I decide to go that way I will need to have them added as
well. I really think I am leaning that way. I was unsure about
brifters but still wanted a fairly light build. This seems like a

(friction still) with a compact double (42/26... very compact!). I

I have the Riv Silver's on my Riv Custom and they work great for the
~230 lbs weight of plus rider.
I also have a bike with the Paul Racer braze-on's.
For me, the Pauls are a bit better than the Silver's but not
dramatically so. I've never really understood the
'Silver's are flexy' train

Jon: Base Roadeo does not have DT bosses. After originally saying
the DT boss option would not be offered, Riv had a change of heart and

advantages. SIS is fast and keeps your hands right on the brakes; but
are a pain when they are out of whack, are expensive and have the
