I also highly recommend the Black Diamond Megamid in the tarp category. It is HUGE and LIGHT. I have the option floor too. It is big enough that I bring my bike and trailer in the tent with me and it is totally comfortable-- it is that big. You can string it over a branch if you can find a suitable location or use a stick or collapsible pole. I have woken up with the occasional creature in the tent but nothing too serious (mostly squirrels) and that is part of the fun, right?
