I bought a set of Grand Bois Cypres maybe a couple months ago, and recently
got around to mounting and riding them. Really like them so far, although
I'm nervous about the reliability. I was thinking about riding them on
last weeks SoCal ride, but decided to stay w/ the Paselas until I had some

I am looking to set up a new commuter bike for this up coming school
year, my only requirements are that it can fit a larger tire and
fenders, but rack mounts would be a plus. I really dont care what it
looks like , the uglier the better! I am thinking of something made

Before I buy some new, I wanted to make sure that there weren't any
rob's that were trying to get rid of a set. I don't have low rider
mounts so I can't get the largest size Berthouds. Thanks guys.

Not me - but my S.O. said
These are the "Silver" branded long-reach brake calipers, new in "Silver" box,
never mounted, with original dual-compound pads. I bought these some time ago
intending them for a project that ultimately required a different brake set.
Sell for 78.00 including shipping in conus.

Hi,
My significant other was looking with lust at the betty foy but she

knows:
1. Is there a nice way to mount a real chain guard on it - for example
if she was going to run it 1x8?

I do not have a bike with a Wald at the moment, but from what I
recall, you are correct. T
The 3114 and 3133 are also QR but mount differently and don't rub against
the headtube...
Just FYI,

I've got Mark's rack and basket for my bike which has drop handlebars.
I think you might find it difficult to mount an axle-mounted basket on
a bike with those kind of bars (or Moustache bars), but they work
great on my bike with the upright, Northroad-style handlebars.

Agreed love the head badge, looking forward to seeing it with color.
I also like the job that Riv does with headbadges and decals but I
have to admit
Betty Foy kind of scares me.

Not true. Do a Google search for sks P50 - you'll find plenty of
places that sell them. Here's one:
http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/FE409A03-Sks+P50+Fenders.aspx
I ran sks P50 fenders on my Atlantis with 37mm Paselas - really a nice
set up for touring.
They fit with good tire clear
What size of tire are using?

Heck. I would say just buy the Wald basket with heavy duty struts:
http://www.waldsports.com/index.cfm/wald137&139baskets.html
it is not that hard to take off and put on. When you want the bike to
look Riv fancy just take the basket off.

I was told by RBW that SKS fenders wider than 700x45 were not
available in the US. I have 700x45s on my Atlantis and think they are
a bit small for the 37mm Pasela's I have on the bike. I would prefer
to use a 55 or a 50mm wide fender.
