Hi
I've got a problem about gcc version. There is a driver for AMR modem
compiled by gcc 2.x(they only offer binary version), but The kernel of
Redhat8 is compiled by gcc 3.x. So the driver doesn't work at all. Is
there a tool to convert the .o file to fit the gcc3.x?

Go to Maxtor website, download the diagnostic tools to create a boot
floppy, boot
the machine from the floppy and diagnose it. It may be able to be fixed
by their
tools. I've been lucky and saved a drive this way. Any funny clanking
noises
coming out of that box??

mount -o remount,ro /home ###you have to unmount the partition,
quotacheck -c /home###creates auto.grpquota on the /home
partition
mount -o remount,rw /home ### remount the partition

AFAIK, there is no way to do full one to one nat on
more than one address, unless perhaps you use tc.

I was working with users, groups and file permissions and noticed
something wierd that I can duplicate on different RH8 machines.
I log into GDM/Gnome as user 'kevin', opened a gnome terminal and
'su -' to root. From that terminal I created a group,
