doing the GLX part, I had to do 'rpm -i --nodeps NVIDIA_GLX..'

tar -xzf the file, navigate to the newly created directory
'NVIDIA_kernl-1.0-3123 and run 'make'.

I use 'vi' to open the file, I can see additional characters (extended
ascii?).
