Sometimes, I'm not sure what is causing it, I'll get a slash followed by three numbers like: \222 One sentence read like: here\222s the solution ... I've had....
I was assuming \222 was an ' but then the ' works later in the line. Probably related, I recieved one email (spam) that all I could see was a single strange character, and a phone number; same with cat and less . If I use 'vi' to open the file, I can see additional characters (extended ascii?). contents of i18n: LANG="en_US.UTF-8" SYSFONT="latarcyrheb-sun16" LC_COLLATE="C" Any clue what's going on?
