the device. But the device never connects. I have both
ttyS0 and ttyS1 perms set to 666, and have added myself to the uucp
group (which owns both device files). Please help.

Not that I know of (there's no getting running on it). gnome-pilot
doesn't work on either port.

That did help. It's now loading fully at startup. The only quirk left is
that I still get that error from gnome-volume-control, which I can deal
with much more readily than having to load the module manually each time.

issues with my filesystem after the power loss. It's weird though
that only KDE stuff is complaining.

almost all dependencies not met by RH on freshrpms.net. But I'm still
missing CommonC++, libcdaudio, and lib
