that had the memory leak. I switched to KDE and everything was fine. I've
never even seen an update to Gnome via up2date, so I wonder if it was ever

We have solved this problem - the key was to
add the FORWARD_IPV4 command in the
/etc/sysconfig/network file.
We tried the rc.local and that did not work.

I decided I shouldn't ignore the blinky exclamation point any more, and
fired up up2grade. It upgraded the kernel to 2.4.18-27.8.0, among other
things, and I rebooted...
...only to get a kernel panic, complaining about not being able to mount
the root fs.

to link with headers found in /usr/include/g++-3 . Can someone point me
to the right libs or RPM for those libs?

I've got a problem about gcc version. There is a driver for AMR modem
compiled by gcc 2.x(they only offer binary version), but The kernel of
Redhat8 is compiled by gcc 3.x. So the driver doesn't work at all. Is
there a tool to convert the .o file to fit the gcc3.x?
