I remember that an older version of PSPP had this problem with PDF output,
but it was fixed a long time ago. It's possible that you've installed an
older version.

Agnes,
This old email (see below) suggests that your computer is configured for
Dutch.

If that's not true, then maybe there's a bug. From where did you get
your copy of PSPP?

I agree with Zoltan. This is probably a windows-only bug, relating to the

Can you try moving it to a path with only ascii characters and opening it from
there?
If this works, we can try to track down the bug (although windows bugs are hard
to solve).

Hi Abraham,
I could open the attached csv file with psppire (the graphical UI to
pspp that you have also used). However I am on Ubuntu and using psppire
0.8. I *guess* the problem might be that the path to your file contains
some non-ascii characters. Try to put your file let's to C drive root.

Perhaps you could copy the exact and *complete* error message that you see.
Also, please state:
* which version of PSPP are you using?
* which operating system (and version thereof) are you using.
This way, we have a better chance of being able to help you.
Thank you.

I'm reluctant to answer your question because it sounds too much like
doing your homework but I would have no qualms about answering a more
specific question of the form "How do I get PSPP to do X?" where X is a
specific thing, like testing whether two means are significantly
different or estim
Time series analysis is something that pspp doesn't yet have much of. You might
have to use R or Gretl instead.
However you could, for example, examine the correlation between time/date and
the
frequency of a particular tag. In that case, you might want to use the
AGGREGATE
command to create a
Hi,
If u want to plot a timeline of no. of times a tag used to time period i.e.
months, years, etc. then this data will do. Best thing according to me will
be to export data in excel and then make a pivot table. Select relevant
data and ur desired table will be ready.

I'm glad MacPorts is working for you.
Likely the command line tools from xcode weren't installed, or your PATH hadn't
been updated to include it.

What version did this last occur with?
Does it happen with more than one dataset?

Do you think that it is possible to import in the data file a excel file?

I'm suggesting that you enter all of that into a text file. You
can enter variable names on the first line. Then it's easy to
import the text file into PSPP with File|Import Delimited Text
Data.

Hello Cemal,
seems like you are a windows user and had installed the cygwin version
of pspp. This bug has already been reported and so far has no
solution.
You can download the myngw version who doesn´t have this issue from
