master.cf. My question now is why is SMTP AUTH offered on port 25, but
not 587?

I'm having a heck of a time trying to get inbound mail to work from my new
Spam filtering provider. The problem I see is that when my mail server gets
the mail from Spam Soap there is something in the header that it thinks made
too many hops. This mail

Thank you for the response. This is a ISPConfig server so most of these
settings are controlled through that. I have disabled all filtering so I'm
not sure how "looping" is occurring, I know I've not set that up. Yes I have
asked the help desk of Spam Soap and they say it is my server.

meant to say Postfix. The former has existed more than a decade longer
