Goldwave will let you increase or decrease playback speed
withoutt altering the pitch. It would be the same as
changing the speed of a cassette player without pitch
control. I am not a Goldwave expert but others on this list
are and perhaps they can give you more details.

You can alter the pitch but that is a completely separate

There is a little program called dirlist that will list and
sort files in directories but it won't let you know of
duplicates. It's much like the DOS DIR command.

Do you know if the new hard drive is on the primary IDE
channel as a slave to the boot drive? If your computer is
not more than a few years old this should work. Perhaps your
boot drive is being constantly accessed by something and not
allowing quick access to the new hard drive. However, yo

I agree with Ken. Although what you need is a two in one out
mixer. A headphone amplifier most likely will have one input
and two or more outputs.
Your idea of having an adaptor with two inputs and one output
might work, but it could damage one or both pieces of equipment.
