Hi TerriLynne, If you double the playback speed of an MP3 file using Goldwave the pitch will be doubled too. You can adjust the speed either for the playback control which is space bar or F4 or you can adjust the fast forward speed when using the fast forward key which is F7. I think you can even change the rewind speed if you would choose to do that.
You can alter the pitch but that is a completely separate setting. Does this make any more sense?
