Hello all,
I have installed Shoutcast 2 in my VPS and have figured out how to obtain
stats and more, but although I am able to easy start, stop and restart the
server in the background from the command line or with a shell script, I
have not been able to do it from a PHP script from the browser, f

wondering if you would point me to some simple but good tutorials or
podcasts on this subject?
Thanks much,

Hello Randy:
If you want them to add a station to their database, so that anyone
searching for it can find it easily, first go to the File menu > Open URL
and enter the URL of the stream; you'll note that if you have it in the
clipboard, it will be filled-in automatically; once it is playing, go t
upload it to each station; for that I suggest Win SCP.

SPL works on hourly playlists which you may create by hand or whose

It is easy to download and convert to MP3 files from Youtube using a program

Try doing this:
When it asks you the file name to save, give it a full path, for example:

Or better yet, create a folder inside c:\ for the files, for example:

which makes it very nice to know the length with Control-A and many other
key combinations for other things. But after I installed GW V.6.1 the
scripts I had no longer work an I haven't found new scripts for it; does
You probably are missing the Lame encoder, just downloaded it and place in
the same folder as the executable for Soundforge.

Hello,
If your sound card has "Stereo Mix"or "What you hear" it is very easy, just
record what goes through your sound card.
If not, I believe you need the Pro version of Total Recorder, then go to
Options and Recording source and parameters; there to Advanced and select
Mixing source and soundb
Yes, it is in the File menu > Information.

Hello Hank:
I also used Station Playlist Studio years ago, but haven't for years. I
think you need it only to transmit live, from your own home or office, not
to transmit pre-recorded programs, which is what I do, from the remote
Shoutcast server.

Yes Hank, it is exactly an Auto DJ setup, transmitting 24/7 from the server,
pre-recorded programs instead of songs.

Hello Hank:
No, I don't use Centova Cast either, I create my playlists directly in
Shoutcast 2. I installed Shoutcast 2, but you could use Icecast 2 instead
if you prefer, actually there is a version of that called Icecast KH that
allows you to stream in AACP and be reproduced by Flash Player.
