I think these Sangean radios are a bear to program. there is a separate button apart from the up/down buttons that is used to scan your presets you have entered. you have to count how many times you have advanced your preset button when entering a station so you don't accidently erase one of you

these tyopes of discs are used for recorders that require music cd's. this is how the ptr-2 knows how to set itself up for the proper recording you want to do with it. if you were to put a data cd in the ptr-2 you could burn mp3 files on to it for playback on a machine that plays mp3 files.

I would check the sampling and bit rate of the mp3 files. In Nero check and see what write speed you are using. it may be to fast. have Nero verify the disc while it is writing the disc. I get better results this way. lastly, the brand of disc you are using may be at fault.when the disc is done
