It's probably too soon to ask, but just in case anyone has used this new
beta with Window-Eyes, can you tell me how accessible it is now?
Thanks as always in advance.

Good evening,
I have placed the iTunes scripts that I created on my web-site at

There is limited documentation online, but feel free to contact me
for support, I will do my best to help.

Really? I have to disagree on that one. They're only two levels deep at
most, they don't wrap, you always start at the beginning, and they're
not very many menu options to

Jim, You could use a PTR2, which is completely accessible, because it's
built for blind people. But the Plextalk costs around $800. If you don't
need a line-in, some Olympus recorders like the DS-2 or the WS-320M are
quite good as well. The Sony ICD-MX20 is another fine recorder with a

He can also use an iriver h140 if he wants to pay that kind of money.
Michael, have you had any experience with the ptr2? How would you
compare the recording quality with the iriver both with the internal
mike and the external or line in?
Thanks.
Nektarios.

I own the PTR2. I've recorded with the 140, but I've not used Rockbox
for that. I believe, that one
You got it, Michael. For me, duirng my work day with tight deadlines,

Thanks a lot.
I own the iriver h140 and I use it with rockbox. I only use the normal
firmware to record directly to mp3 because recording in wav eats the
battery fast.
I whish rockbobx could record in mp3 too. Can't they record in vorbas
since it is a free format?
Any way, I am thinking of ptr2
Hi:
I'm confused! Can the IRiver h140 play MP3 with the rockbox?
Thanks!

Yes of course. Iriver can play mp3 and some other formats using rockbox.
It has spoken menus, spelled out file names and folders, recording
facilities, fm radio and other great features.

I am delighted with the Edorl R-1. With two microphones built right in,
mastering affects and recording right onto compact flash, it's a wonderful
recorder. The menus odn't wrap, so although it doesn't talk, it's easy to
use. It records all the way up to 48 khz 24 bit, and handles MP3 recording
too
How much does the recorder mentioned below cost?

Hi Tracy,
Mine cost just over $400, and you'll spend another $50 - $100 on a Compact
Flash memory card of 1 GB or more to insert into the unit once it is
received. Now that the R-09 is coming out, I would imagine prices for the
R-1 will start coming down soon.

Hi Darrell,
Any word on when the R-09 is coming out and how much it might be?

Sorry, but I cannot figure out how to purchase the Replay AV software.
Also, can't figure out price. Where I went it had multiple credit card
buttons and I want to use Paypal. Also, it said $49.95 each. Each? This
site stumps me.
Thanks in advance.
Michael, I know of a number of persons whose cds recorded on the
PTR1 could not be played on a lot of devices including some
models of the Victor Readers. Is this less of a problem when
recording on the PTR2?

Hi,
I realize that you asked about a particular recorder, but let me tell you that
you really should check out the Olympus WS320M digital recorder and MP3 player.
While the recorder only records WMA files it will play both WMA and MP3 files.
This unit has 1 gigabyte of memory, USB 2.0 interfa
