Hi,

I realize that you asked about a particular recorder, but let me tell you that
you really should check out the Olympus WS320M digital recorder and MP3 player.
While the recorder only records WMA files it will play both WMA and MP3 files.
This unit has 1 gigabyte of memory, USB 2.0 interface, built-in stereo mikes,
input jack for external stereo mike, records WMA files in stereo at 44,100, 16
bit, 128bps CD quality recording at its' best quality recording speed. There
are two slower modes. My guess is that you could get close to 15 hours
recording time at the best quality recording quality, and probably more.

I used it for recording presentations at the recent CSUN conference and was
very happy with the results even though I just used the internal stereo mikes.
Considering the size of the recorder I was quite pleased that the very small
speaker actually has a decent sound for such a small speaker, and it has a jack
for attaching stereo headphones or speakers, etc.

If you want to hear about how blind folks are using this recorder there are
three podcasts on www.blindcooltech.com that you could download and hear the
device reviewed and demonstrated both as a recorder and a music player.

To me the last feature that I think is really great is that with the quality of
this recorder it will operate for 15 hours or better on 1 tripple A battery.
